Lemonade Diet Tips - Drink Your Water

Monday, April 7th, 2008

It’s time for our next lemonade diet tip to help you finish your ten days on the Master Cleanse. While going through the cleanse and flush of the lemonade diet, some people experience aches and soreness. Headaches occasionally happen, as do some slight body aches. To help deal with these common lemonade diet side effects, you should drink several glasses of water each day. Some people who don’t do their research going into the Master Cleanse flush may not realize how much fluid moves through your body, and how rapidly it happens, so they might miss out on this. Do not let yourself become dehydrated by not taking in enough water to replenish everything you are losing.

Losing Weight on the Lemonade Diet

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

One of the most publicized advantages to the Master Cleanse is weight loss. Losing one to two pounds per day is typical and can be expected on this program. Dr. Elson Haas, a family physician in San Rafael, has been a proponent of the Master Cleanse since 1975, when his struggles with weight problems motivated him to attend a Burroughs seminar. Haas was curious about the program and gave detox a shot. “My health and my world changed dramatically,” Haas said. “I dropped twenty pounds.”

Please note that this should not be considered the base reason for devoting yourself to the Master Cleanse diet; this regimen is about whole body health and well-being and should not be taken lightly. It requires a great amount of dedication and simply dropping ten pounds is not reason enough to sustain such an intense program; you must have a commitment to optimal wellness.

The lemonade diet has seen a huge surge in popularity since 2006. We know that the Master Cleanse has been around over half a century, so why the sudden burst in interest? The answer goes back to a Beyonce Knowles appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s show back in August of 2006. In the interview, Beyonce talked about how fast she lost over 20 pounds for the Dreamgirls movie. Beyonce’s testimonial sparked the interest of people everywhere, and the Master Cleanse diet was immediately nicknamed the Beyonce Diet. Beyonce Diet

The next ingredient in our What’s in the recipe? series might be the one that most people are scared of. I actually love Cayenne pepper, and regularly use a dash of it in hot chocolate to add a little kick. Cayenne pepper adds vitamins B and C to the Lemonade Diet. It also aids in your Master Cleanse by cleansing the respiratory system by breaking down mucus, which allows you to breathe better and removes toxins.

Maple Syrup - Ingredients - What’s in the recipe?

Friday, January 18th, 2008

The next ingredient that Stanley Burroughs wrote about in The Master Cleanser’s Lemonade Diet recipe is Maple Syrup. Maple syrup is one of the few unprocessed good sugars that provide micro-nutrients as well as calories to the body. This is important as this diet nearly eliminates all calorie intake, so the maple syrup is vital for keeping your energy up. It is high in minerals including zinc and manganese. For the Master Cleanse, Burroughs recommends Grade B because it contains more minerals than the lighter grades of maple syrup.

Lemons are one of the best all-around foods for the human body. They boast a high amount of vitamin C and both cationic and anionic minerals as well as making the body more alkaline and helping to cleanse. They are rich in raw sugars, helping to keep your strength and energy up through the diet while remaining natural and healthy. According to The Master Cleanser, the lemon acts as a purifier and provides potassium.

A Plan With Staying Power

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

The Master Cleanse diet, which has been nicknamed the Lemonade Diet, isn’t just a flavor-of-the-month fad in dieting. In fact, the diet has been around since the 1940s when naturopath Stanley Burroughs, an early advocate of natural health and the body’s ability to heal itself, created it to aid in the healing of ulcers. Burroughs had studied toxemia in disease and enforced the idea that a cleansing or detoxifying diet is essential to recovery from any health ailment.
