The Master Cleanse Risks

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

We feel it is our responsibility to inform you of any risk to your health the Master Cleanse may impose. The program should not be used if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, anemia, a serious intestinal obstruction, gallstones, or if you are underweight or have a history with an eating disorder. While the diet is largely safe for people of normal health and fitness levels, it’s a good idea for anyone considering the Lemonade Diet to consult their doctor prior to starting the program. If you have clinical depression, the Master Cleanse program may worsen your depression, so talk to your psychiatrist before going on the diet and if they won’t temporarily increase your dosage, seriously consider not using the program. Women who are pregnant or nursing and children shouldn’t try this diet.
