Senna Leaf Herbal Tea in the Master Cleanse Diet
Several people have mailed in to ask about the Herbal Tea that is involved in the Lemonade Diet. Reading the sites on the internet, I’ve realized that most of them kind of skip over this topic. The nightly Senna Leaf Herbal Tea really helps in the process, and as you may have read in Master Cleanse Secrets, it is actually the first step in the Master Cleanse Diet. For a little more information on the laxative tea, read this excerpt from our upcoming guide:
Drinking an herbal laxative tea aids in waste removal while doing the Lemonade Diet. The tea does this by using the herb Senna leaf to stimulate peristalsis, or muscle contraction, of the colon. (The only other known method for inducing peristalsis is by eating a diet rich in fiber.) As well, the tea works as a dietary replacement for fiber. Without a laxative, the waste products which are internally released will remain in the body, a state which can lead to an array of health problems. You should drink one cup of herbal laxative tea each evening right before bed while Master Cleansing.
Be sure you use purified distilled water to dip the teabag in, and you may want to be near a toilet quickly after drinking, as it’s quick and effective. It’s also recommended that you do not mix this ahead of time, as much of the effect of the Senna leaf comes from breathing in the herb as it is dissolved in the hot water, and once it has been dissolved it will be much less effective. Senna leaf is as effective or moreso than all other over-the-counter laxatives available. Use the bathroom early and often so that you help your body get rid of toxins and avoid any inopportune needs for visiting the toilet – for example, make sure you use the restroom before any long meeting at your job or other unavoidable engagements. On the upside, the tea is actually quite pleasant-tasting and soothing.

My girlfriend linked me this site last month when I decided to get healthy as my New Year’s resolution. Just wanted to thank you for all the info, I’m 5 days into my diet now. I’m blogging the whole thing, and it’s been fun and hard at the same time.
