Creating the Lemonade Mixture
The lemonade mixture is the most questioned element of the Master Cleanse. What’s in it? How do I make it? Don’t worry, here’s your one-stop guide! Mix the following amounts of each ingredient for one 8 ounce glass of the lemon juice mixture:
2 tbsp. (1 fluid ounce) fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tbsp. (1 fluid ounce) Grade B maple syrup
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
1 cup (8 fluid ounces) of purified distilled water
You can drink anywhere from six to twelve 8-ounce glasses per day of the mixture. We recommend using 8-10 glasses if this is your first Master Cleanse detox and, based on how you felt the first time, you can raise or lower the amount of the mixture you consumer per day on subsequent cycles. You can estimate that each lemon will make about 4 tablespoons of lemon juice. So for each day, you’ll need 4-5 whole lemons.

I just googled Simply Slender and it was $30 for a 32 oz. bottle. Not sure I want to spend $90 a day for something I just got the recipe for free!!

You only use 1 oz for each serving - you add 8 oz of water to it.

As mentioned by other people, the ingredients for this lemonade has been different to some degree whichever you read. The originator of the Master Cleanse, Stanley Burroughs, said to put the lemons and maple syrup in a 10oz. container. He did not specifically say 8 oz container. So I don’t understand why everyone says 8 oz of purified water. Well, his book “Master Cleanse” really wasn’t very well written. He didn’t talk about the side effects, wether you can drink water aside from the lemonade. Anyhow, my question is - should it be 8oz or 10oz?

Carla, I think it is an insignificant amount to be concerned about the differences of a few ounces of water. I would venture to guess that the lemon juice mix may be to strong for some with 8oz and dilluted it to 10oz, either way you will get the same end product.

Carla - I’ve known many people that have used different amounts of water, and as far as we know, it doesn’t seem to matter that much. The water is just there to keep you hydrated, because you will be losing water from the saltwater flush and the tea. As long as you are drinking enough water to stave off any dehydration, you should be fine. Also remember that the original book written by Mr. Burroughs is very aged, and that the newer books like Master Cleanse Secrets are based on so much new research that has taken place in the years since the original book was written.

I purchased Simply Slender yesterday and am on my second day. So far I feel way better than I did when I was using that Celebrity Juice Fast stuff (always end up feeling worn out and getting headaches on that stuff!). I like the fact that this is a 4-day cleanse. Have to say I don’t care for the taste (very spicy from the cayenne), but that’s not why I bought it! I’ll re-post after the fourth day to let you all know how I liked it/results.

Updated version is drink as much water as you like but to keep the right amount of nutrients in your body you must drink at least 6 glasses of water that each contain 1 -2 tablespoons of the maple Syrup 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. They then say if you are hungry at any point drink as much filtered water as you want & it will help crave your appetite.
As of today I am on day 11 of my forth cleanse. I want to do it for 20 more days as I feel so great but work meetings, dinners, events etc prohibit that. My last one I did 14 days.
Good luck.
